Control Risks needed help to setup the SQL Server 2005 databases holding the data for their customer facing website. The company was in the the process of revamping their web presence and needed a database architecture that would allow them to fail over to an alternative site in the US.

We worked with the in house team to make the most of the the servers that they were leasing from a third party supplier.

From their requirements we produced a design for a set of distributed databases that would provide a high degree of flexibility and resilience. This would meet their need for the site to be available 24x7x365 and yet still allow their developers to perform managed updates to the site.

We then worked with team to build their beta and producton databases, troubleshooting the deployment of the new application as required.

The updated production system went live to plan.
