Smart Training is a childcare and management training company based in South West London. We have worked with the company since the late nineties. During that time they have grown from a company with a single office above a shop to one of the largest childcare and management training providers in the country with a multi-million pound turn over.
During that time we have worked with their management team to create a set of systems that provide a 360 degree view of each of the company’s 1500 plus trainees. The systems we have built do everything from generating Course Registers to submitting claims for funding to the Learning And Skills Council. They are widely acknowledged to have given the company a significant competitive advantage.
Smart Training now have a Java Swing based smart client application running against a SQL Server 2005 database that is used by practically every member of staff on a daily basis. Over the last two years we have added significant additional functionality to the system and migrated from Oracle to SQL Server 2005.
We have also help them outsource their infrastructure support and revamped/virtualised much of the company’s server and WAN infrastructure.
